My goal is to ensure that the UPA is delivering value to all of its members worldwide.  By researching member needs and aligning our membership strategy with those needs, we should be able to grow our community and better retain members.  I look forward to helping fulfill the vision and mission of the UPA during my term.

UPA publications are a key benefit and resource to our members. They play a vital role in furthering UPA's overall mission, helping to develop our professional community, and presenting our profession to the world. I am especially interested in helping UPA publications contribute to larger goals, such as continuing to develop UPA as an international community, extending the philosophy, approaches, and knowledge that UPA represents to new domains, and cross-pollinating ideas and methods with other professional organizations in the user experience arena.

UPA wants to build synergies with other organizations, both those very directly related to user experience and those that are only tangentially related. Let's talk about how we can more closely align our organizations to better enhance knowledge and increase opportunities for collaboration.

2012 will bring new professional development opportunities. We're looking forward to expanding the Mentoring program and adding content to the web site for academic and other prof. dev. programs.  I'd like to bring together our experienced members with our mid- and early-career members to provide professional connections.
